Wednesday 3rd April II

Team Marineris were lucky enough to meet astronaut Bob Stewart and hear what it was like to perform the first Manned Maneuvering Unit (MMU) exercise.

It is worth googling him to see the iconic photo of his untethered space walk!

I commanded the Space Shuttle and successfully landed it with the help of the pilot and CAPCOM - and we have another mission tonight - Dylan
Scuba diving was better than I expected and takes some time to get used to but is still a lot of fun - Saakithyan
I was the pilot in the satellite mission and I did the landing gear on the parachute at the perfect time - Kieran
I did all the satellite checks without any problems with James and I was on a crane and James was suspended from the ceiling and we were wearing Space suits with headsets to talk to PAYCOM - Yash
I was CAPCOM so I was in charge of making sure all the communication got clearly across to mission control and vice versa which was quite important when correcting anomalies with the Shuttle - Ben B

I made sure everyone was back in the Shuttle before re-entry - Cameron
For our mission I was the flight engineer, so I made sure all the checklists were completed and conducted some missions. - Senith

Space Camp is amazing, the scuba and the g-force rides were excellent. - Sam S

The missions especially encourage involvement and left me feeling real achievement. - Tom E

The food is better than I expected, but the missions and rides were really fun, and the instructors are helpful and nice. - Leo

I've got three mattresses and two blankets, I'm happy. - Liam

The food is great, the lessons are interesting but the missions are by far the best part. - Oli F

Space Camp gives an authentic feeling of working as an astronaut, especially with the scuba diving and multi-axis trainer. - Rob K

I very much liked the variety of food, the craft lessons were very interesting and scuba diving was the best by far - Akshaj

I've found the Engineering tasks interesting but found the simulations the most interesting. - Ben P

The SCUBA diving was fun. - Alexander G

So far the whole experience has been absolutely amazing. I really enjoyed the SCUBA diving, and it has been my favourite activity so far. - Abhinav

Everything has been great so far. I absolutely loved  the scuba diving and the missions are exciting and interesting. - Oliver H

The whole trip so far has been really enjoyable. It has been like a giant Young Engineers club with some great extra activities. The scuba was awesome and the one mission we have completed so far was a blast (pun intended). The Multi Access Trainer was a weird experience as you lost all total orientation though great fun. - Jacob

It has been a very interesting and formidable experience so far. I am looking forward for what is to come. - Parth
